Noel Vincent Brouillette, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025 surrounded by his husband, family and friends. He leaves behind his devoted husband of 45 years, Jean-Pierre (“JP”) Lethiecq, whose partnership, loyalty, and shared life were the great joy of Noel’s years.
Born on February 18, 1960 in Montreal, Noel lived with kindness, imagination, quiet strength, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. He was known for his thoughtful nature, his gentle humor, and his ability to make others feel seen and valued. His world was filled with conversation, deep insight, compassion and care.
Noel is also survived by, and was a beloved brother to, five siblings, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and enduring bonds. He was also a cherished uncle to six nieces and nephews.
He pursued his education at McGill University with the same curiosity and care that defined his life. His professional life reflected his values of integrity, creativity and thoughtfulness.
Noel was an avid comic book collector and his cherished collection remained in mint condition throughout his life. He was a movie buff, excellent critic, and always so appreciative of the entirety of the work involved in this creative process.
Throughout his life, Noel valued integrity, compassion, and love above all else. He was a teacher to all, whether through quiet support, thoughtful advice, or simply being present and offering his uncanny observations. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his husband, siblings, nieces and nephews, extended family, and close friends.
