Julius Virag

In loving memory of

Julius Virag

May 23, 1953September 9, 2026

It is with a very heavy heart that I regret to inform you all that my beautiful brother Julius Jr. Virag passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9th/2026 at 3:36pm at Anna Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay, Quebec, Canada. He was 73 years young! He always said he wanted to live to 150!!! He loved being here on this crazy planet!

Despite the difficult life he lived he always had a smile and a joke for whatever situation in life he had to deal with next. And he had more of those than anyone would have ever or could ever have imagined. He was my hero! The one I always called when things were tough; he was always ready to hear my woes and would immediately cheer me up with a joke and his contagious laugh! I will miss him more than he’ll ever know.

Our world has lost a very kind, smart, generous, selfless, funny, cheeky, charismatic, patient, humble, incredibly resilient and forgiving angel. A wonderful friend to so many and an incredible son to Margaret Patricia Virag and Julius Daniel Virag. Awesome brother to Helmuth, Sam, Wren (Shirley) & Heidi and also other siblings across the pond in Europe with whom he got close to in his later years. He was one of many cousins as well and shared many great times with us all throughout the years. I’m sure we all have our special moments and memories of & with him. He hated vegetables, loved gold and electronics and could fix and master anything he put his mind to.

He spent much of his life on his own, struggling to get to the next difficult situation that life dealt him and through all of it he was there for everyone and anyone who needed him. To me he was a miracle! I hope he is up in heaven or in our Universe somewhere without hardship, or worry or strife living HIS best life the way he wants it to be.

I am so grateful to have had you as my brother in this life and hope to meet you in every life hereafter. Life just won’t be the same without you. Please come find me! 😀❤️

Rest in Beautiful Peace now my angel. 😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️

All my love always, Heidi 😘❤️

The last photo is of his beautiful mother. 🥰

A special thank you to all the people who cared for him in his final years, months, weeks & days before his passing when we weren’t able to be there for him. @Our family is eternally grateful for all of you. 🥰❤️❤️❤️
